- Orders for in-stock items will ship within two (2) business days. Orders placed after 3:00pm Central time may not be processed until the next business day.
- All orders will be shipped via UPS. We ship UPS Ground to the continental U.S. Standard costs are based on weight.
- For UPS Ground delivery, you can get an estimate of delivery time by visiting the UPS Time-in-Transit map and entering origin zip code 61032.
- Note: Delivery to street addresses only. UPS does not deliver to Post Office Boxes.

- Per Illinois Policy: Orders shipped to an Illinois address will be charged 6.75% sales tax on the order. For orders shipped to any other state no sales tax will be charged.

FORMS OF PAYMENT for Returns:
- Cash/check = cash refund or HCC Check
- Credit/debit card = Refund back to card. Please present card used.
- Financial Aid = Items must be deleted from your voucher/account.
Textbook Return Policy
- Texts must be returned by the LAST REFUND Deadline. SEE IMPORTANT DATES.
- RECEIPT REQUIRED from self-pay students.
- Financial Aid Students: Items are deleted from voucher/account.
- New books must be in new condition, including cover, and no marks of any kind.
- All supplementary materials, media, and code cards are unopended/unused.
- Computer Math License text packages with code cards are not opened.
- Magazine Subscriptions: Return original form.
- Chemistry & assorted guides must be returned within a day.
- Online class text: Check with bookstore Manager for last return date
- Columbia College: Students must check with Columbia for last return date.
Textbook Return Deadlines (Regular Full Semester Classes)
Week 1 = 100% as long as the following conditions are met:
- You must present your cash register receipt.
- There may be NO marks in your books.
- Shrink wrapped books are unopend.
- Pin codes or pass codes have not been opened or used.
- Iclickers are covered under the "Text Return" Policy.
Week 2 = You must have dropped your class first AND a current schedule must be presented with return.
Textbook Return Deadlines (5 Week Classes)
1st day of class = 100% Per Policy Terms
2nd day of class = You must have dropped your class first AND a current schedule must be presented with return.
Textbook Return Deadlines (8 Week Classes)
1st & 2nd day of class = 100% Per Policy Terms
3rd & 4th day of class = You must have dropped your class first AND a current schedule must be presented with return.

- May be returned unopened/unused within two weeks from the date of purchase.
Software and Hardware
- HCC Bookstore may provide available technical and warranty information as a courtesy.
- CUSTOMER is responsible for product: Registration, additional technical requirements, and warranty information.
- Box or package must be returned unopened.
- Return is made within 2 weeks from the date of purchase.
- Special Order items cannot be returned.
- Self-pay students: Receipt required.
- Items returned will be examined within two weeks. Proven defectives will be replaced with identical items only, per manufacturer policy. If we refuse a return, you must contact the manufacturer directly.
- No cash refunds or store credit.
